Diaphragm Seals

A Diaphragm Seal (also known as a chemical seal) is a protective device used with pressure gauges, transmitters, and switches to isolate the sensing element from aggressive, corrosive, viscous, or high-temperature process media.

It uses a flexible diaphragm and fill fluid to transmit pressure while preventing direct contact between the instrument and the process fluid, ensuring accurate measurement and long instrument life.

Usage

  • Protects instruments from corrosive and hazardous media
  • Ideal for viscous, slurry, or crystallizing fluids
  • Prevents clogging and damage to pressure instruments
  • Enables measurement in high-temperature applications
  • Ensures hygienic and contamination-free processes
  • Improves accuracy and reliability of pressure readings
